Before the restoration began, the instrument underwent a detailed examination that revealed structural and surface changes developed over more than two centuries. The natural ageing of the wood, wear to the varnish, as well as traces of previous use and earlier repairs were all present on the body of the violin. These factors affected not only the instrument\u2019s appearance, but also its structural stability and tonal performance. <\/p>

Throughout the restoration process, the preservation of the instrument\u2019s original character was a primary consideration. All interventions were carried out using traditional hand techniques, taking into account the characteristic formal and structural features of the Venetian school. The cleaning, repair, and stabilisation procedures were implemented gradually, with each step building upon the previous one. <\/p>

M. Deconet Violin After Restoration<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Following the completion of the restoration, the M. Deconet violin once again achieved a unified and balanced appearance. Structural issues were resolved, surfaces returned to harmonious alignment, while the instrument retained its historical patina and distinctive character. As a result of the restoration, the violin was not only aesthetically renewed, but also regained greater stability and balance in its tonal response. <\/p>
